Same brain behind both misleading "clawback" article and Reid's calculator

An interesting connection was reported in the RNC's response to Sen. Reid's "calculator": it appears that the guy who crafted the assumptions and underlying calculations that the calculator uses is the same guy behind the awfully misleading "clawback" article in the Washington Post a couple of weeks ago that had to be corrected (even though the story was quoted by many other media outlets including the NY Times and LA Times without being corrected). His name's Jason Furman and he was a Kerry campaign official ("Director of Economic Policy"), also working in the past for Clinton and Gore. Interesting.
